Vote for Good Governance
15th Lok Sabha General Elections , voting in 5 Phases , with 6 National and over 200 regional parties that would be trying their luck, and over 740 million voters who would decide their fate in the World's Largest democracy for the next 5 years, the dance of democracy doesn't get any bigger. Its your chance to participate in this process that has changed centuries old power structures in the Indian society, uplifted the weaker sections and transformed them into the rulers of the most populous state of the country - Uttar Pradesh and brought about one of the most silent societal revolutions of the world.
People might get skeptical about the electoral process, complain about criminalization and corruption of the process. However we are a strong believer that people only get as good a governance they deserve - after all who elects these tainted representatives to power?
How does one prove that people only get as good a representative that they deserve? We did a little bit of data-mining to see if we could actually prove our assertion. We compared the average MPLAD ( MP Local Area Development ) Fund Utilization of all the states and the average attendance of the MPs of all the states/Union Territories. It was Chandigarh that came out on top with its MP having an impressive 94.7% Attendance and a 95.02% MPLAD Utilization. Chandigarh also happens to the State/Union Territory with the highest per capita income in the nation.
Select your state below to review the performance of your representatives. It's time to not only see the process from the sideline but to get involved to change the system.
Vote for Good Governance. Be a part of Democracy 2.0.
