15th Lok Sabha General Elections , voting in 5 Phases , with 6 National and over 200 regional parties that would be trying their luck, and over 740 million voters who would decide their fate in the World's Largest democracy for the next 5 years, the dance of democracy doesn't get any bigger. How does one prove that people only get as good a representative that they deserve? We did a little bit of data-mining to see if we could actually prove our assertion. We compared the average MPLAD ( MP Local Area Development ) Fund Utilization of all the states and the average attendance of the MPs of all the states/Union Territories. It was Chandigarh that came out on top with its MP having an impressive 94.7% Attendance and a 95.02% MPLAD Utilization. Chandigarh also happens to the State/Union Territory with the highest per capita income in the nation.
